I think you said it all with us having different views and values. Whether you think i'm "wrong" is your business, inconsequential to me. Ill try to make amends for bringing up nazis. It was meant as a casual, easily relatable reference, not a major thesis or talking point. I think it was blown out of proportion but I'll apologize again now for being insensitive if that helps at all. Never my intention to offend.

I do apologize, actually I should have used "I disagree with" as being more PC than "wrong", but in either case as we've agreed our views/values are miles apart I guess it's equally inconsequential to us both.

With regards to your historical references (which you previously apologized about, cool enough), I think you missed my real main point in last comment, which was the hypocrisy of your admonishment regarding "hostile tones", and how attacking other keepers "just ends up making things worse" after your recent, previous posts. Was going to ask if you had any mirrors in the house but didn't want to come across as overly sarcastic.

But oh well, we've both made out points, like you said about 10 or so posts ago, "I'll bow out of this one."

The real irony in all of this, is that while taking your little poke at Hendre, for his little warning, you failed to realize that he could have done much more than that, considering that you were violating one of the major TOS here on MFK, with your casual, easily relatable reference, to a political party. I think a lot of people are just trying to have fun with the hobby. When you start explaining to these people the intricacies of the hobby, start talking about certain percentages of water changes, minimum tank footprints, water parameters...it just sucks the fun out of it for the casual fishkeeper.

Sure, fun, wheee, that's great. But learning how to be responsible with your pets is an important lesson, whether it involves fish, dogs, cats, gerbils, whatever. The casual fish keeper does not generally join online forums, any more than the casual dog owner does. In my experience over many years of being active on numerous online forums, the vast majority of people come to learn, or at the least share their fish and tanks. (or dogs/cats/etc)

Some accept open criticism, some don't, but no one forces them to read any more than they want, on any given subject. The fact that you used this vid, of this moron, to take a stand against what, MFK bullies/Nazi's?, is mind blowing. Good hill to take a stand regarding this issue. Well done.

Oh i realized all that full well and accept whatever consequences are in store. I didnt think i was violating TOS at all, but if you're lumping my comments in with the whole "no political talk" thing i guess it qualifies.

This is becoming tiresome. Like i said earlier, blown way out of proportion. If this is a TOS issue and you really feel the need just report all my posts and let the admins/mods figure it out. I dont think ive behaved so badly but if thats the consensus around here im probably on the way out soon anyways.

I don't think that taking offense when someone refers to, or compares, other people to Nazi's, is blowing things out of proportion. Not in my world. I don't plan on reporting anything, or anyone, I just found your comments regarding Hendre's comment, as amusing as you did his. I guess it's only ok to point out flaws, as long as they aren't yours.

I think everyone has lost sight of the reason for this thread. It wasn’t to nitpick various practices, such as how often to do water changes or if a tank is not big enough. I was pointing out this guys complete lack of knowledge and/or caring for his pet fish by mixing incompatible species, allowing disease to fester and letting his fish fight to the point they are severely injured. This guy is a horrible fish keeper and this is way to common in our hobby. It’s also a far cry from over feeding, keeping an Oscar in 55 or doing 10% water changes as opposed to 35%

Man that's just sad, I had to sign in to YT to tell the guy what a POS he is. I also reported the video to YouTube as being animal abuse.

To remedy the situation should be clear to even the densest of people if they have at least a bit of heart -- immediately separate them as any decent human being would. And from the way he was reacting to the situation, not to mention the title itself, it was clear any such efforts would be in vain. Of course you're welcome to do so though, perhaps you'd have a better chance of getting through.
