Worst lfs ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My worst experience with a LFS was quite a few years ago but I went in to purchase some type of cichlid and the store clerk loaded all 15 fish into one extra large bag. Which I thought was kind of unusual that she would load all the fish into one large bag instead of bagging individually or in threesomes but she looked like she was new and I didnt have far to go. So I end up leaving with this garbage size bag of fish, load the bag and box into my spotless truck and head home. Upon arriving home, I'm looking in the back seat for this bag. Where the heck did this giant bag disappear to? Oh, its still there but its deflated and flooded your truck with pet store water. Apparently the rubber band slipped. i guess i should of checked rubber band but its not like the bag was toppled over, so im putting the blame on the LFS on this one

That's terrible! Hope the fish all survived and your interior!

Omg... What the??? Lmaooo!!! These threads are always full of giggles...

Most of the bad advice I've heard was from chain stores, most of the smaller shops down here tend to know what they're doing because if they don't, they make no money.

Also, guys, I think he means tea as in 'evening meal' not a cup of tea with baked beans... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't read that and get "baked beans and a cup of tea", I read it and got "baked beans for tea" hahaha

Thank you kittiee katt for understanding us brits. Tea over here is a late afternoon meal. Tea is also a hot drink. So guys, when me and my RTGG have baked beans for tea i don't mean a big cup of drink with baked beans poured in!!!!! Haha, thats nearly as funny as the guy who was told to punch his fish in the face, haha. Whoops, nearly choked again!

All good, Aussies refer to the evening meal as tea too so I got it immediately and was laughing to myself about everyone being all like "baked beans and a cup of tea, weird combo" :D

Only thing I ever had happen to me was having a petco "fish expert" employee tell me she couldn't sell me 10 danios because their policy is more than 6 fish is overstocking any tank. Then I told her they were going in a 150 gallon as better quality feeders for my new odoe pike and she freaked out. Other than that I just tell the lfs's what I want and if they question me I tell them not to worry about it lol.

My local chain store once REFUSED to sell me guppy fry so I could feed my then 3" Atf.
Also my LFS refers questions to me while I'm in the shop.
