That tank isn't near the worst I've seen.

I saw a 12"+ Mata Mata in a 20L today, not only was the tank COVERED in BGA the turtle was as well (well beyond the normal Mata Mata camo). It looked like the jolly green giant vomited in the tank.

I picked up a second hand 48 x12 x12 a few years ago and in it were easily 100+ plattys, a common plec that was easily over a foot long and a lone albino Cory dora. When you first looked at the tank you could not see the extend of the overstocking because of the huge live plants and dark water, this habitat must have been ideal for the plattys to breed but I am surprised anything was surviving in there because of the state of the water.

It took me months to rehome all of the Plattys to all of the LFS and friends in the area before I could start getting the tank how I wanted it. In the end I felt sorry for the plec and felt he deserved a bigger home so took him to a LFS too.

TTTT check out the other videos by the same guy in the link you just had above. Shows rhe growth of the RTC and others, then boom, bunch of em disappear in newest vid.

worst tank I've seen was a friends that just got fed up with his tank and called me up one nite and told me to come over and pick up his tank for free

I went over there. the water was mud. literally could strain the water with strainer. And the most appaling thing was that a pleco lived through this and could breathe the mud-like water. When I was emptying the tank I kept finding fuzzy balls. I didnt want to ask what they used to be. And I had to throw out the gravel as it was full of fish bones.

that was the worst 55g pickup.

I wish I had pics of this... My friends gf's father (Oh one of these haha) had a 20gal Long that looked like pea soup. You couldnt see 1/2" into the water and it smelt like death ate " jolly green giant vomited in the tank." (-Cecropia, thanks for the quote lol)

It was kept outside on the porch, i thought it was empty until i saw little orange flashes.

GOLDFISH! something was living in that? try a dozen feeder comet goldfish for Painted Tutle!

He bought the turtle in a South Carolina store and brought it home to NY to keep in his "Aquarium"

I couldnt believe my eyes, and the thing is supposedly still alive. dont know what he did for the winter.

my nephew kept a dirty 10G with two adult oscars in it; only filtration was an old HOB filter that was cracked and filthy . . . later it was one oscar . . . a little later, and it was no oscar . . . gee, wonder what went wrong?

my brother keeps two very large oranda goldfish and a 14" pleco in a 29G . . . the water looks like weak coffee . . . they've been living like this for years . . .
