Well I wasn't to sure when I first started the thread but then I started to lean over to getting the jag side ... But no I don't have the jag yet what would be a good name for a jag I was thinking Bruce
Depends on the fish. Mine get along great- I have a 14" jag and 2 x 13" oscars in a 180 gallon! (take a look at my thread!). If you do go for it, just keep a eye on them, and maybe put some stuff in the tank so they can have their own territories!

Both my jags went from about 3" to over 10 in 8months (for female) and about 4 for my male.
Have a green terror that has maybe grown an inch in the last 6 months.
Also to answer your question. If you end up with a mellow jag i would think youll likely be fine.
The jag should keep up with the oscars growth and tend to easily be able to hold their own while oscars are kind of just big pussies in my experience
