would any sharks be suitable in a 480gal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
forgot to ask.
what type of rays can I drop in the tank as well?

mainly I just plan to house 1 of these animal. either a shark or a ray
smaller species prefer for both type of animal

thank you

id say youd be fine with a few rainbow sharks or something haha JK.

A tank that is only 24" wide, and 48" tall - isn't good for most benthic sharks. It's just too narrow - unless your planning for some fairly exotic and cool water species - such as a Izu Catshark.

A 480 gallon tank - that is 96" long x 48" wide x 24" tall would be okay for most benthic sharks that stay under 30" in length. So species like - Coral Catsharks, Marbled Catsharks, PNG eppies, & Arabian Bamboos.

Where would one even find an izu catshark?
