i will have 2 tiger Muskie, 6 large mouth bass, 8 blue gill, 12 golden shiners, 1brown bullhead, 4 creek chubs, 2 chubsucker, 5 black crappie, 1 yellow bullhead, 4 small mouth bass:). the dimentions of the tank will be 144"x48"x36"(1077gallons).:) i wasn't sure if this would be over stocked or not if you have any sugestion let me know. the filtraiton is 388gallon ply wood sump(150allons of nylon pot scrubby, 2 200 micron filter socks 7" for mech filtration, 3 pumps ViaAqua Water Pump Model 2300 , Continuous Siphon Overflow 1-1/2" Bulkhead one to tank and one from tank, two bio media areas lead to one pump in middle.):) turn over rate is about 3.1 with 3400GPH.:) gravel will be used on the bottom. let me know if you need to know anything eles.:)

Eventually the muskies will outgrow the tank, but then you can eat them.

lol i wouldn't ever eat them i would make it larger. i might go head and make it 15x5x2 or 15x5x3. any sugestion on what fish i should put in there i want a lot of different fish.

i would put channel, blue, or flathead catfish in the tank instead of bullheads because the muskies could easily eat them, actually i would put in chaine pickerel instead of muskies because the muskies will eat anything and everything in the tank

I have to assume that you are running a different pump for the return from the sump. Are you using the viaAquas for something else like UGJs or something?

The viaAqua is only rated at 600GPH with a max 6 foot head. It runs at 600GPH at 0 head and 150GPH at 6.

I would go with more flow than 3400GPH, I like alot of flow.

You may also want to add more drainage. You said you will only have 1x 1.5" bulkhead from the tank. 1.5" maxes out around 2600GPH (with zero restrictions/drag). You can almost double this if you upgrade the drain to 2" (4800GPH) Two 1.5s would be better IMHO, because you have two drains to increase the odds off poo making it to a hole.

I think you need to get your compatability straight first, lol.
Which fish are you wanting NOT to get eaten and which fish do you not care about?

The tiger muskie are eventually going to outgrow the tank.

i have muskie right now i want to keep them. i can make the tank 15x5x2 or 15x5x3. my muskie can't eat any of those bass i would grow them first then put them in. the fish i have choses will surive i seen it at bass pro shops and in home aquriums. all the fish will be grown large enough where they woun't be eaten. the muskie won't get eat for sure i know that. there only 9",7" right now.

yea thats a good point, you know that your muskie will end up destroying everything, they eat ducks in the wild, they would handle a smb, lmb pretty easily, if you want muskies to come first stay with them alone with maybe a big cat, if your going for bass i say you do pickerel which can still get big like 30-40 inches i know people will doubt this i guess they wont grow as nearly as large as in the wild but should be able to hit 30 pretty hastialy in such a large tank

well i'n not getting rid of my muskie. what tank make you suggest i want a choice. i know there other then just pikes and cats.
