You plan on using the CPR then? The only problem I see with CPR and other overflow boxes is that you only get surface skimming out of it. Surface skimming and lower level intakes are a better way to IMHO.

What are you making the tank out of? You can always check out the DIY section for filter tips. It would also be better to start a new topic about your tank in the DIY thread itself. This way you will get valuable opinions and suggestions from dozens of other forum members.

To make you own you would normally just get a bulkhead fitting at your desired size and pipe to the sump with flexible PVC, Vinyl tubing, or PVC.

ok thanks. i making it out of ply wood with glass pannels for the front.

would these work walleye, channel cat, flat head, blue catfish, bowfin, sauger. they all get very large. if you have any other ideas for fish let me know.

A bowfin would probably get beat up pretty bad in your setup, so ditch that. The rest would probably work.

Have you looked at how you're going to feed these guys? You're gonna have a whole lot of huge carnivores here.

yes i know feeding will be big. any other atnk mates you suggest and any where you know i can get a walleye don't ahve them here in the lake.

i been thinking about breeding my feeders or using shrip and smelt.

Breed night crawlers, feeder fish, and use store bought shrimp. Supplement with something vitamin enriched. I marinate raw unshelled shrimp and worms in garlic and crushed baby vitamins.

You can do pellets but those get expensive and it is sad watching a big fish chasing little tiny nibblets. They need so many to be fed.

ok. the fish i was thinking of breeding was gold fish you know anything better i should use i got a space of 12'x2'x2' to breed fish.
