I'm gonna go against the grain and say... YES, what are the diminsions of the tank?.
You see all these tanks which a Asian Style which are totally overstocked but they get complimented on their tanks so why cant you do the same. 3, 12" Oscars is hardly a load on a 60gal compare to some of the tanks (180, 240 etc) you see overstocked with aros, dats and p-bass. Of course large waterchanges and excellent filtration will be required but it would be possible, I will advise against three as a number of Oscars to own as two will gang up on one. This is why I recently purchused 2 more. Why not try 4 if your already going to overstock the tank.
I personally would never do it myself, its not my style. I hate all these overstocked tanks but why should people get flamed for doing the same with oscars and why should the minimum tank for an Oscars be a 55 for 1 if these other guys tanks are busting at the seems with fish.

This is the sort of overstocked tank I am talking about, so if this works why cant 3 O's in a 60? Everyone seems to like the trust's tank and all his fish are in incredible health. Why is it everyone seems to think you cant do the same thing with smaller fish with less numbers in a smaller tank :screwy:

I still say go for your life, don't let people on the internet hold you back from doing what you want, but if you are going to do it make sure to do it right

The trust's filtration, its massive

I would agree with Nova depending on the dimensions of the tank. If it's a tall rather than long/wide tank I'd think it would be a bit tight. And you might well end up with the weakest of the 3 O's being seriously beaten up or killed; you might be better off with just 2 in there.

You will, however, need to filter the hell out of it and be diligent with w/c's. But I think it could work.

I say go for it, you will take best care of the tank you like with the fish you like in it.

So if you get your beloved 3 oscars I think you will take better care of them than settling for a bunch of fish you don't like.

It should be fine. I've seen 4 Oscars in a 55g, with weekly 75% water changes, and they were ALL in amazing health. So 3 in a 60 would be fine. However, I would also suggest an even number. 2 or 4. I'd say 2 is safer, but 4 would work, I imagine. Just do enough WC to keep the water clean, and filter as much as you can afford. :) Have fun, and goodluck!

a bit tight... massive water changes and excellent filtration are the way to go if you choose this path.
oscars are poop machines and from what i've seen tend to get HITH fairly easily too...
