Yes, and there's a huge difference. JDM really isn't my thing, but it is impressive to see a tank just bursting with life the way those tanks often are...what I really don't like is when it's a tank that's physically too small for even a single specimen of the fish that are being stuffed in there (like the pimas you mentioned).

I absolutely love tanks that are full of life. I love heavily aquascaped tanks with fish on every swim level, with bottom dwellers moving in and out of the decor...

can we see pics?

I don't like JDM, I find just fish rather Dull but adding decor and plants(real or not) makes the tank much more interesting....Overstocking is fine with alot of filtration but, cramming 50fish IE Bichir substrate just doesn't seem viable

Eh, I'm alright with JDM tanks, as long as the water is decent quality, the individual fish won't get way too huge for the tank, (sturgeon, pimas, etc), and the fish are compatible.

They would evolve, I heard from the JDMer's that fish can do that.

Remember if you keep a coldwater fish in warm water, he will evolve, or die. If he dies you buy a new fish.

No problem
....nope,especially not to the LFS owner..

Why are people suddenly using the term JDM when we've been calling it "overstocking" for decades? Am I missing some sort of a difference?
