Would you have your beloved pet taxidermied??

Some exotic cats look nice; jaguars, ocelots, panthers, etc. I wouldn't do a house cat or a dog though.

I kinda was thinking along these lines, I think I may actually like to see my old Tabby down in his old ready to pounce stance sitting on my shelf, mabe not directly staring at me, but if I have to dust something anyway, Id love to pet my old friend again.

^^ Yeah if I hunted I would do trophies, but not pets...

Baller status for sure....To fly off to another country and hunt a big cat, have it shipped back and then mounted costs major big bucks.

Pets aren't trophies, I wouldn't do it. I used to hunt, but I never had anything mounted. Used as much as I could. Trophy hunters get my blood boiling. Especially the ones that take the head and waste the carcass.

I thought we were just talking fish here until I read a couple of the responses. I'd probably do a large fish I had for a long time but not any other type of pet.

or,has anyone here had their pets done?..AnimalPlanet has a new show,American Stuffers, about a taxidermist who does pets...Me,I don't think I could do it.

You'd kinda have to reference the tv show cited in the first post.
I couldn't get past the first episode I saw, where a couple of old little dogs were stuffed curled up together in a bed with creepy glass eyes. *shiver*. The essence of the pets are SO GONE.
I don't know if they have included 'pet' fish in the show.
But wildlife and personal pets are completely separate topics.

I personally would not, but If you want to who am I to say you cant
