I can see myself as a premium member, but M.A.N would lose a ton of popularity among many people. Even strangers I've met in different places know and love M.A.N because of the vast amount of knowledge that is posted here. The best thing about M.A.N. was because it was free for anyone.

My two cents. Not a bad idea though.

good point, but it will remain FREE. it's not like if people that dont pay cant log on and see all the threads/pictures. kinda like on pt.net. i just dont see what's negative about a voluntary donation. now had it been a required fee to join the site, thats a whole different story. MFK wouldnt be charging anyone

yeah, you dont lose anything by not being a supporting member. you still get the full MFK experience, minus a few extra perks

I'd be willing to pay a small annual fee. But if it turned into a monthly fee, I wouldn't pay it. I don't mind supporting the site, but there is a limit to what I would contribute simply for minor perks.

I would have no problem with the annual fee. Has there been any consideration of fees to be an approved vendor or for the ability to post classifieds? That would not potentially limit the exchange of ideas and, like any business model, you would have to spend money to make money.
