  • Never!!!! I'll deal with all the ads you want, but a forum should be free for its users

I wouldn't mind $10-15 a year as long as I can pay through pay-pal. TBH though the perks wouldn't really benefit me since I don't use the a sig and don't frequently pm people. The ads are somewhat of an annoyance, but if this is the worse thing during your day to the point of you willing to pay to get rid of them. Your having a pretty damn fine day. To help with the bandwidth I'll clean out pm box.

i don't think i would. definitely NOT if it only removes the adds, they're not that big a deal to me. i could be totally wrong and most likely am, but i think that's extortion; charging to NOT do something. i don't know, either way it's bad business in my opinion.

i WOULD pay $10-15 a year for a news-letter/e-magazine with relevant coupons or something like that. i would much rather be offered some useful product and/or service.
:headbang2

also, a lot of people that say they would pay, usually don't when it comes down to it.
extortion  that would hardly be the case. i think a lot of people arent reading what i'm suggesting. my suggestions was NOT a fee to use the site. it's for a voluntary donation that would offer your certain perks. if you decide not to pay, you still get to be a member like normal.

as i said, i was a member on another site for a long time before i decided to pay. and that whole time, i used the forum as a regular member. if you cant/wont/dont want to pay, no big deal. it's not like if you'd get kicked off the site

that's Oddball's line when he's talking about deleted post and infractions

ads, what ads? Adblockplus for the win.

That said, I would pay for a premium membership...and I need to go check out the store.

Yeah I picked it up after one of the post complaining about people's locations. :D

oooh here's another idea Li!!

does the forum software have the ability to automatically resize attachments? as does Photobucket, Facebook, etc. you uploaded a giganto-sized pic but it automatically gets resized to an 800x600 or 1024x768 size.

im sure that would help out a lot

just get rid of attachments. people need to learn how to embed photos.

i got what you were saying... the first 10 times you said it. LOL

i think it's dishonest to bombard a site with ads in an attempt to get people to switch to the pay service. i don't think that's what's going on here at all (nor do i mind the ads), but it leaves that impression in some minds.

I only know how to emb videos, do i use the "Insert Image" option on the tool bar of the reply to Thread page?

why not just make it a requirement to buy a shirt.
