If you've got 0-100 posts then free, for new members to join, look around and see if they like, if your at 100 post then there is a fair chance your in the right place.
If you've got 100-2000 posts (I don't know why I keep picking that number ) X fee, nominal maybe $10-20 a year.
If you've got 2000-10000 a smaller fee $5-10 a year
If your 10k plus then premium should be free.
The reason I use these numbers is because not that post count matters, to me it comes down to the quality of the post but as an anti spam measure. No one is going spam to 2k for a saving, and at 10k plus you've got to have really contributed at least something not spammed your way to save a couple of $
