Would you use african clawed frogs as feeders?

Are they really that easy to breed? In Asia feeder frogs usually means bullfrogs or a smaller related species, ACF would make an excellent feeder for Polypterus because it is entirely aquatic!

I haven't started to breed them yet. I wanted to make sure there was a market for them.

I'm going to have to actually do this if people are interested.

Been thinking of selling some african clawed frogs as pets. Some of the more rare species (borealis, muerelli?, others) and some of the different Laevis morphs (albino, reticulated, pied). There isn't many places to get some of the more rare types if at all. Very sporadically at best. I've been raising these frogs for quite sometime now and have bred them before. I like these frogs a lot and think it would benefit others if people can get them.

The normal wild color Laevis type of ACF are much easier to find. So was just wondering if people would buy young frogs as feeders for some of the larger fish out there (aros, gars etc.). Of course they would be of quality and a fair price. Just want to see what is out there before I get more into this.

All opinions are appreciated! As feeders or as pets! Anything.

Made this in the general forum too, but with keeping gars before I know how hard it is to get them on pellets. Figured I would ask people who use feeders even if they wish they didn't have to! Hope I can keep both threads open mods. The general forum and this forum is a whole different ballpark imo.

Xenopus.com carries X. tropicalis and borealis, and laevsis in a wide range of colors/patterns. Also, their wild-type X. laevis are huge..I used them in a public aquatium exhibit some years ago, the largest I've seen in over 4 decades of keeping/breeding this genus. Best, Frank
