after reading so many threads about guns, CCW, Self defense, knifes
i always thought these are all nice collections, but i often think are your neighborhoods really that scary and tough that you need such weapons at your disposal to protect yourself and you loved ones

here i have been living for so many and have never even thought i would require even a pen knife*touchwood*

just typing in what i think

Although I agree that most people who keep weapons for self defense will never even need them, your post is somewhat like saying "I don't know why you where a seatbelt. I have been driving for years and have never even gotten in a wreck."
