point n shoots can give you some decent pics but they dont even come close to matching the clarity of a DSLR, unless you have absolutely no idea what youre doing!

They do if you don't have the right lens. LOL

yeah this is very arguable, simply because your argument is clarity.

DSLR's are made specifically for the users to manipulate light around them and make an image manually, P&S simply do it automatically (most), if you can't get a decent shot with a P&S you don't know what your doing, and therefor it's probably not justified to spend money on a camera to make things more complicated.

just my opinion, i just came from a thread on another site in which a person shooting a pro level DSLR (Canon 1D Mark III) complained about his gear because his sports shots were blurry and had bad color, it was very obvious his shutter was to slow in his EXIF info, and he simply did not know what he was doing, like the story has been told 1000x photographers make the picture not the camera, that's a tool to capture the image.

okay, call me a n00b but what does DSLR stand for?

digital single lens reflex

I just read post#14 and this question is meant for XR,what's a good P&S that you can suggest I look into?If I dont have to spend DSLR money then I wont.I am a noob to the modern cameras.

Do you have a problem with it? Your kind of acting like its all below you or something? We all know your good with you camera. Maybe i took it all wrong? If so my bad. I have a "dslr" And 100% suck with it. But i still have alot of fun with it.

It is another fad thing that caught on like.................what's in the bag.......so and so requested these photos......guaging interest (always misspelled).........quitting the hobby (beg me to stay).....once someone does it. It is then SOP. Start all your threads POSTING ON DELL COMPUTER........see if that catches on. Or the total emoticons posts, those are classic.
