writing (DSLR) in photo lounge threads...?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm saying Rafal kicked butt with a point n shoot. There were several other photos in the same contest that happened to be canons. What I'm trying to get across is that it's unfair to automatically assume a picture is better because it was taken with a dslr. The gear is simply a tool. When I take pics, I already pretty much know what I want the picture to be. The camera simply allows me to capture it.

Now I'm going to have to go on an old hard drive and find pics I took with my sony p&s a few years back. :)

edit: I'm only expressing my thoughts. I'm not telling anyone how to write their thread titles. :)

A good photo shot should not be judged on the camera it was taken with, so why ID the camera in the thread. It is the quality of the photo not the cost of the camera.

I agree, But at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

If your saying people but "DSLR" in there title to brag/show off. I disagree 100% atleast in my case. The $ /type of camera means nothing to me. I just want the "Money Shots" For myself, Nothing more...

Then why put the extra 4 letters in the title?

I agree, Do you think "DSLR" in my title means i think-

"What I'm trying to get across is that it's unfair to automatically assume a picture is better because it was taken with a dslr"

Dude i've got 100's of pic's on my computer/memory cards. Some P&S and some SLR And there is no difference in quality. But i will say my best pictures ive taken with the dslr. Maybe thats a fluke? Or maybe its a better camera.

If what ya'll are wanting to hear is my pics are nothing special? I agree. ;)

the real question is: DOES IT REALLY MATTER? who cares what people put in the title, it's their thread.

but on the same note, i HATE the "guess whats in the box" threads. pretty pointless. but i just dont even bother going in those threads. if i wanna see a cardboard box i can do that anywhere, i dont need to go on mfk for that ;)

Them threads are STUPID.:D

Nothing like the "Can't concentrate" thread or how about the "I hate Black Friday" thread. To name a few.

Those were very readable and full of information.
