Mine is 6' in a 1,500 - 2,000 gallon pond that's 20'x5' and now that my Pima is 6' he is staring to launch him self into side walls... they get very harassed when they can't turn. If I don't expand my pond soon he will die from hemorrhaging and possibly blow a hole though the wall.. not to mention it eats a 1/2 gallon of food every other day and if i miss a feeding he gets VERY Aggrivated and messes himself up even more..
They don't stop growing or slow down growing mines 2 years old and 5-6'
Good luck my dudes!! I am just looking for ideas on expanding ideally I'm trying to build a 10x20' tank but that's a huge investment!!!!

Also ur 500 won't work more then 6-8months trust me I've loss two fish already thinking arrogantly as well. The last one I lost, almost broke tank killing himself right in front of me
