I would try to talk to her again and give her some written literature to show she's cluess diplomatically. Then offer my assistance again. If she still doesnt heed the warning take your concerns to the principal or maybe the school board.

hey it is biology not all of biology has to deal with reptiles... Her area could be somewhere else... plus she was most likely lied to when she bought it and think that this silly kid does not know what he is talking about... I would talk to another bio teacher... too bad you are not at my school your social studies teacher would have all the pets... and who be helping the bio teacher learn her ways... our bio knows bio, but does not know wild animals as pets...

Do your research, document why what she is wrong, give advice on how to care for it properly, and explain how she is basically torturing it in a diplomatic manner. Submit it in a professionally written document and site all of your sources. She might listen then.
Biology and Zoology are seperate courses at post-secondary, and it has been for over a century. Even if she understand animals, she doesn't really understand the chemistry in every single type of animal. The stuff they teach at high school is fairly basic anyway and don't cover animal chemistry, but rather general body chemistry of the human body.
Get her some books on turtles, she probably trust published materials over her students, especially nowaday teenagers just say stuff they don't really understand or they don't mean. I am not saying she is right, but think about the overall attitude of teenagers toward adults.

Yea, im not rude by any means, but right now i dont have the money for a book. I will do as rallysman first, aand if not i know our principal will listen, Or peta or the spca.
