So wait a second... you were cleaning out your tank and this guy was just there one day? As in, he grew to that size and you had no idea he was in there?!

yup thats about it lol he just diapered into the sand even when i put it in the new tank it took 5 minits and he was gone again

you know i hate to say this but how can anyone be in saltwater or fresh for that matter and think an animal is disgusting thay all play an important role and are not there to be eligents and full of pretty color. i think every water life has a being and beauty all to its own

I totally agree with you on this fact. When I was running my 180g sw, I loved all the creepy crawlies and stuff that was in it. My saddest day in fishkeeping was walking into a milk white 6ft 180g sw tank where everything had died because the sump pump was off for a few days.

I was shocked at the amount of sand dwelling critters that was on top of the sand as I drained the tank and got it set up to go brackish.

I don't think it's disgusting, but I woulda freaked the f out hahahaha, I saw a 5 inch fire worm in my old salt water tank, but if I grabbed 2 feet of that, I probably would scream.

ijust think that is the coolest part of having any kind of reef is not knowing what the hell you are going to find the next day

Completely agree as well. IMO the heathiest tank is the tank with the most diversity, it may not be the "cleanest" looking tank, but I like a more natural feel anyways.

I only ever remove something from my tanks if i KNOW they are killing my corals/fish/inverts, and even then I try to find either someone else to take them or put them in a non-reef tank.

Yea but at the same time how could you not spot this earlier?? I even find extra earthworms in my substrate when i clean or do w/c from feeding, i guess sw is different and you dont vac or rake. I guess if theres benefits to this creeper then awesome but if it just puts out more bio load personally id rid of it.gl tho

Or banish them to the sump.

in sw you dont touch the sand a good sand bed and filtering water is not completely needed most people that keep reef tanks well never see 25% of what is living in there tank and with something like this that has more then likely spent its entire life under the sand it is not uncommon
