Wow ur uncle sounds like he's my kind of guy. Hope he gets a bunch of mushrooms this year. I always loved hunting for them myself. Hope you get to see him again.
Sorry to hear that all of these terrible things are happening to your uncle; I hope that he is able to be reunited with his family before he passes away. It's good to hear that the sheriff isn't trying to find him too hard and is letting him live out his final days in relative peace.
Also, the "half of it belongs to her" part should hold up in court considering that she had full knowledge of it plus that whole "what's mine is yours" thing that comes with a marriage without a prenuptial agreement.
I wouldn't try it; Claudia might be a toe bitten off or something.

Your uncle has my sympathy. However, they seem like a perfect match. What kind of person who grows more than 100 plants for his own use, yet told the cop half of them belong to his wife, then go hiding? I don't think she's going to get charge or lose her kid over it, since your uncle went hiding. There's no corroboration, if the case go to court (big IF!)
Ok, I am not sure on amount of plants. This came from another uncle who was there so there is a good chance the number is exagerated. Many plants where young as in only a few inches high. Yeah its alot. A bit of over kill but whatever. He is in significant pain. Unless u ever had lung cancer that spread to spine, brain and much of his bones u cant judge him. Bone cancer is very painful. All the presription meds he was on made him sick. He told the cops half where hers and went into hiding cause she turned him in( they have been having problems but it was cheaper to keep her) and he is hiding cause he is dying and is afraid they will force him to get treatment. They wont but thzats what he fears. It made him insanly sick and thats not how he wants to go.He doesnt want to spend his last month or two in jail.
Even though she turnd him in, if this goes to court(they wont find him so it prob wont) she will go down for half. Period. He has to say its all his(already told cops its not),iin order for her to not get charged. Her turning it in works in her favor but not so much that it lets her off.
