i have a Silver Arowana thats a over a foot long in a 180g and id like too sell him because he is going to out grow this tank before i can start making my big tank so how much do you guys think i should sell him for

usually nobody want them when they get big the depreciate like buying a new car.

silvers are the easiest to get and are everywhere. in wisconsin they are dirt cheap

While I do think $45 is low, I have to agree partially to the fish "depreciating". A lot of hobbyist get a lot of joy from raising juveniles to large sizes. So juveniles are usually higher in demand. As a fish gets big and the average enthusiast can no longer accommodate them your looking at a much smaller audience of potential buyers. Plus those with tanks big enough usually have those big tank because they've been raising fish to impressive sizes all there own. So they usually don't have room for the fish you no longer have the means to take care of. So your potential buyers shrink again, and all business is relative to demand. The less people want something the less it costs. So probably as a private seller which limits you again to people within traveling distance the price drops significantly. Alot of times people have a hard time giving away a large arowana. So sorry it'll probably be a hard sell and you'll be disappointed with what you get. Just my 2 cents.
