Now, Would I be considered insane if I were to put a Jar in with the dats? I meen, I've seen it done before and was thinking of trying it in the 180...
 
Yeah your right. I'm just trying to come up with ideas. I might be getting a 6x3x2, but I'm not sure. And I can get 125/180g's for real cheap so I'm just trying to think of some cool stuff to put in either tank.

Yeah, I kinda want to try it, but I dont want to risk any fishes life. I've seen it done, but Im scared to try it.

Discus are awesome, but They seem to fragile for me, I like them, but I'm getting 5 free high quality angels soon(not for this tank mind you) so I dont think I'll be getting any discus.

dmopar, just look on CL dude! 125's and 180's are super cheap on there, you can get a whole set-up for less then what it would cost to get it at an LFS with hood/light, stand. I've even found 200's and 240's before for pretty cheap. Never bought the 200 or 240 though. There was once a 300G, I think it used to be in a chinese themed restaraunt cause it had a Gold dragon hood, I cant really describe it but it was neat looking.

Mystix, What cichs would you put in it? I wish it was big enough for a Guapote comm, I'd do a Jag, Loiselli, Motaguense, and some other.

Was also considering a Dovii if I do a single specimen tank, but I kind of dont want to do that.
 
i look on CL daily, ive got alot of tanks off of there. im doin the dovii tank soon, just got to reinforce the flooring first.:nilly: why dont you do a black aro or a leichardti aro with dats? or are you looking to house them for life in a 180? how about a spotted/florida gar? go to kings discus in chinatown;)
