Well I caught it in Kentucky. I took a nice longear that day but didnt really think that much on the greenie

He was solid yellow with white markings all over him

Probably. I caught 59 green sunfish that day. Have another day like that I might come across him

They are magnet to predators because of their irregular attractive color. Surprised it survived that long.
 
It wasn't small at all it was probably one of the biggest ones I caught that day. I think that's why I threw it back cause I only had a 55 at the time

Yeah I was fishing for Greenies,Large mouth, and crappie. I caught 59 greens, 1 longear,5 LMB, 15-20 pumpkinseed, n 10-15 crappie. It was a good fishing day

I have caught a few Brown Bullheads whose pigments were doing strange things. Mostly with big solid black patches. Looked like they were splattered in black paint.
