Xanthic Midas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Unfortunately the only reason that this fish was yellow, was due to the low quality soybean & feather meal based commercial farm feed that it was on when I got him. Once placed on a high quality feed he quickly changed to orange & white, a common creamsicle. Still a nice fish, but a fish lacking any type of genetic provenance, and not yellow as I had purchased it as. I gave it away shortly after, and replaced it with a young male from a guy who imported his breeders from Rapps & Conkel.

Bummer Neil. Thanks for the update none the less.

A faded Midas should be already considered Xanthic. If you want more Xanthic then it can ge rid of the yellow(or orange with color enhancing food and sun light) then become white. It dont get more Xanthic than a white Midas.

It's a Beautiful Midas. I prefer yellow over orange

Any pix of the new boy?
