Xback Arowana having blue colour

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks like a normal malaysian gold / green arowana to me, I'm having trouble believing that it's a x-back nor an RTG since I've just shopped around for an RTG and none of them looked like this even at worse conditions.

As for the cert, I think any X-Back will / should have a cert for the price that you pay for them. especially a blue base x-back

Important thing is you like it. I do.

have you had good luck keeping that aro with pbass? my pbass has not done well with any tank mates exept my bichir... my last idea was to try a australian aro...

think it would work?

I have successfully kept 2 aros with 2 batches of p bass. The pbass are more interested in killing each other Haha.

It really depends on luck. I had an orino that would take on my aro all the time. I sold him in the end.

Very bad idea on the Jardini. Go with asian aro instead or you'll have dead.bass in you tank

Is it recommended to do WTT for these aros and then put them in black tanks when they older?

On xbacks its a common pratice. The reason they are call xback is because the shine should cross over the back. WTT speeds up this development. But does it increase potential is still up in the air. If ur fish has gd genes it will cross even without WTT. Just that it might take yrs rather then months.

you really think that? the problem is my pbass has killed all its tank mates except the bichir.. a african pike, and 2 other pbass... idk if i should just not put anything else in the tank? i really want more movement.. thats why i was thinking a silver aro or a jardini

Yup, my Jar killed anything that went it. Including a pleco and those thing are hard to kill.

If you want movement then put it wave makers and youbp bass will move themselves
