Neovespicula depressifrons, likewise, is very close to lionfish, though unlike this sculpin, they are brackish
Hoping to have a group one day. It was between them, a red wolf, or Amazon puffers for my 36 bow front…
I didn’t think I was ready for brackish yet:

Mottled Sculpin
Cottus bairdii

Size: 4”
pH: 5.0-7.0
Tank size: 25G/Individual
Country of origin: United States, Canada
Diet: Live and frozen foods
Temperament: Shy and predatory. Peaceful with most similarly-sized tankmates
Temperature: 60-65° F

Description

Cottus bairdii is a fairly widespread American sculpin that is extremely rare in the aquarium trade. Perhaps surprisingly based on appearance, this species does not possess venom, and is generally harmless to humans. As for the link, it does not take you directly to where you can order these fish. Go to their fish list for details on availability.
I think this fish is rare in the aquarium trade due to temperature, which is very difficult to mantain in aquarium in the summer.Simillar problem i have in the Europe with European sculpin...I can keep sculpin only from september to april by room temperature in unheated tank.Temperature can be in room max.25 celsius...

Leopard Candiru Catfish
Ituglanis amazonicus

Size: 3”
pH: 6.5-7.5
Tank size: 15G/Individual
Country of origin: Countries throughout the Amazon and Suriname River basins
Diet: Live and frozen foods
Temperament: Shy and relatively peaceful, though could be parasitic towards larger tankmates
Temperature: 75-80° F

Description

Ituglanis amazonicus is a small South American catfish belonging to a family perhaps best known for their habit of lodging themselves into… undesirable parts of the male body. That’s right. You may have heard stories about fish of this family performing such actions from television or other media outlets. Aside from that, these fish are fairly peaceful, though may be parasitic towards larger tankmates. Choose all tankmates with care.
