Description

Scatophagus tetracanthus is unique among Scatophagus for its ability to thrive in full freshwater well into adulthood. However, even still, they may benefit from being kept in at least slightly brackish water, 1.005 or higher. These fish are very hardy, and will not cause problems with most similarly-sized fish. They, however, may occasionally nip fins. They are also slightly venomous.

i used to have a shoal of this in my tank. Many of my friends still have too. Scats are quite popular here, especially the native ones. Thou not as common in US or something
