I love leporinus! Fasciatus will always be my favorite, but this is certainly one of the nicest looking! And much more tame…

Red-Spotted Tetra
Copeina guttata

Size: 3”
pH: 6.5-7.0
Tank size: 20G/1 small group
Country of origin: Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia
Diet: Most live, frozen, and prepared foods of an appropriate size will suffice
Temperament: Peaceful, though may bully some smaller fish
Temperature: 75-80° F

Description

Copeina guttata is a very rare Amazonian tetra known to be rather hardy and robust. They are among the larger described tetras. This species is often overshadowed by Copella arnoldi, the splash tetra, which is a smaller, closely-related, and much more common species of tetra.

Those Copeina are super cool!
I have had Copeina arnoldi years back. Beautiful fish; need to keep aquaria very tighly closed as the jump. In fact, in aquaria, this is their most frequent means of demise (=death).

Slobbering Catfish
Brachyplatystoma platynemum

Size: 3’
pH: 6.5-7.0
Tank size: 300G/Individual
Country of origin: Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru
Diet: Live and frozen foods
Temperament: Predatory, though relatively peaceful
Temperature: 75-80° F

Description

Brachyplatystoma platynemum is among the rarer giant catfish in the trade. These fish are not particularly active, though still require a rather large aquarium due to their immense size. Though not as giant as some of the other monsters featured on this thread, their size is still nothing short of impressive.

really ? My lfs always have them in stock .
Or they’ve just had them in stock for ages because no one wants one in your area
