Description

Synbranchus marmoratus is not an eel at all, but rather a swamp eel, a family of eel-like fish found mostly throughout Asia and South America. These fish may be occasionally found at international food markets. Extra care must be taken to prevent these fish from escaping from their tanks. You can also buy the rarer spotted version here.
