Description
Not to be confused with Ctenopomaacutirostre, a gourami relative that is sometimes offered under the same name, Polycentropsisabbreviata is a largely underappreciated Nandid found in Africa. They are quite similar to the leaffish of Polycentridae, and though some sources place this species within said family, it is not officially classified under Polycentridae. They are the only described member of their genus.

Cottusbairdii is a fairly widespread American sculpin that is extremely rare in the aquarium trade.
