i hurd this batch of aros have been kept in white fibre glass tanks since birth which is why the crossing is so high and the fish looks realy washed out

i have also been told that the gold head disapeirs within 1 month of it being kept in a normal tank and as the fish grows the crossing will also drop

their are so many tricks with asian aros to con people out of their money you need to be very very carful or you will get ripped off

Some from this batch have been in normal tanks ever since the pics were taken. No changes have been observed. If u get the opportunity, see the fishes for real, then comment if the fish even look "washed out". I doubt very much a public listed company such as XL would resort to "conning" buyers.

listed or not all farms con people with white fibre glass tanks

its the way they get the shine level up at such a young age to charge a higher price

people hear in the UK dont care what they say about diffrent farms and the way they try to con people people in SG and other asian contrys dont like to speck out about the way farms try to con people for some reason

U have evidence that the golden head from this batch dissapears in one month? Funny, there are no changes to the ones still around. Hmmmm...

no evidence on that exact fish but you can see the way the color is washed out that it has been kept in a white fibre glass tank

show some more pics when the fish get to 14inch

look dont get me wrong its a nice looking fish now but will it stay that way

Don't worry, no offence taken. This is just a discussion. Well, since in a month time, the golden head would fade then there is much longer to wait. As for white tank treatment, once the fish is left in a dark enviorement, the shine will fade so there is no need to wait for it to get to at least 12". IMO, the pics don't do both fishes justice since to some viewers it looks "washed out".

I have seen XL's breeding facilities. Seen their white tanks treatment fishes too actually. I don't think it's a case of hobbyist here in Asia not daring to complain about white tank treatment fishes. I think it's a case that we get both "treated" & untreated fishes. Complaining isn't going to change much. Buy with your eyes wide open is a good motto so to say the farms are "conning" us isn't exactly accurate. It's a question of enhancement for some. Lots of LFS would readily admit to WT treatment stock, they don't try to hide that fact. Then there are the exceptions...the once in a blue moon fishes that are extrodinary. The cream of the crop so to speak.

actually most farms already use white tank, else if no high level, then how to sell? these days, people standard very high. as a consumer, one just need to be aware. at the end of the day, the choice is yours i guess.
