KNH i think u shuld get XP4 cus goldfish are dirty, if u can but isnt it cheaper to get 2 XP3's?

And just to let you know, tax changes in different states

The XP4 is still overpriced (I'm hoping they cut it down some in the near future).

I would suggest multiple XP3's. I've got two on my 180g right now, but plan to pick up two more, and run two with spray bars, and two with the jet nozzle.

I used Seachem "Matrix" which is a perfect fit for the baskets, but they fall through the holes of the seperator for each basket, so I would suggest only using it on the bottom layer of the basket you use for bio media, and fill the top part with something larger like bio stars, or something else (maybe lava rocks?)

Note, each basket can be divided with an included media seperator, with two holes in the seperator that are there to make it easy for you to pull out. So, really, each basket is sort of like two in one.

I don't suggest bio balls since you can get more surface area for bacteria to grow on with other choices such as the matrix media.
