Xp3 or xp4

From what I have heard, the older impeller is the 5 blade, and the newer one a three blade. There is a possibility this could be a factory error, but I haven't called Rena to ask. The two Rena canisters I bought used from the original owner both had 5 blade impellers, they seemed to run rough to me, so I bought replacement impellers and was sent 3 blade impellers. Although I would generally trust the person I bought it from, there is a possibility they replaced it with a XP3 blade I guess. The biggest question I still have then, is why would the cardboard slip in the impeller case show a 5 blade impeller and label it as a XP4 impeller? The impeller received in that box was a three blade impeller as well. I already considered it maybe was a 'stock' photo for impellers, but the other impellers boxes look like they show the actual impeller.

Interesting, id think 5 blades would be better then 3 cuz when u think of turbo charges and jet engines more blades the more power. I guess with fluid its different preasure. The xp4 impeller is huge 3x bigger then my ac110 impeller.

Youd think there would be aftermarket companies that sell add on or better parts (bigger lighter parts, more power mags/motors) for canisters to add more gph and more effiecient power usage. Id like to see some carbon fiber used in canisters.
