somebody's using their noggin but I just cant bring myself to accept the fact that anything by rena has a strong outflow

i try! I have a Cascade 1500 that works great! heard good things about Rena but never own one! just a few of my friends and they like them!

you should see a properly set up XP3!:

I use the power jet as you can see

every once and while I see someone say the flow on the rena's suck, and I can't help but think that one of two thing are happening:

1) they are not set up properly or are dirty

or

2) there are a few rena's out there with bad motors...

because this one is jammed full of media and it blows like crazy, just like the filter in question in this post

it should have came with a valve that you can place on the return if you want to.

Yep, mine did.

wait wait wait.... THEIRS A JET??? lol someone show me this i can see on your pic but no idea what that is.... I've looked all over and only found the filler thing. ya i thought about turning it around at the back wall but i dont want to make a wake Co2 system in the tank. Do they sell rena hose anyplace? its alot softer then the clear stuff i dont reall like.
