hah, no dude, thats incorrect, those head to head series games dont come into affect. If the sox win 2 out of 3 games then they play a one game playoff to decide who wins the division. Its already been predetermined by MLB that the game would be played in Yankee Stadium due to a coin flip basically. If the indians win 2 out of 3 games, then they play the loser of the series between the red sox and the yankees.

the head to head results determine whoi would have home field if they both get through to the payoffs and meet in the ALCS

sorry to say this man, but your wrong again. Home field is simply determined by whoever had the best record in the regular season. Its the white sox for the AL and the cards in the NL. Head to head results mean absolutely nothing, except for stroking the ego.
