i dont think smelt is a good staple, nutrient wise

i think pellets should be the staple of a monster fishes diet, as it is very balanced for being a single type of food.

then again i guess that just my own opinion.

Not that easy to find....
Try to search at cold storage and some NTUC.....hardly can see one....
