Yes! I found SMELT fish in the supermarket...BUT!!

are these fishes salt content high?
how worried shld we be?
isnt it the same as market prawns?
can they be for staple?

they probably do have some salt content but i defrost mine in warm water before putting them in my tank for the fish.
i have been feeding various predators small and large these fish for years along with prawns,sand eels etc which are all salt based fish and never had any problems whatsoever.

i have fed them to my tig, apurensis, marmoratus and some other i cant remember and all been fine i just give them a good soak first.

and another question, how do you clean them?
do you remove all the internal **** frm the fishes?

What I buy are those cleaned and processed fishes now...I dun think I got the time to but those whole fish and more work is needed to do the cleaning of the internal of the fishes... :grinyes:
