Yes! I found SMELT fish in the supermarket...BUT!!

I picked up some smelt sunday...The only fishie I have that will eat them is my Aro...The Oscar, and the IT won't touch it...Oh, my bichirs will eat it too! They are rather large smelt too, they are all about 4 - 5 inches...But the Aro just took it right out of my fingers and gulped them down!

here are some pics with a size comparison (my phone). silverside or whitebait as they are know in the UK are just small whitefish and a delicacy in some parts of europe (not my thing)
smely is a bit too big with these i just put them in whole after defrosting them in water.

silver fish dont come cheap in sgp market eh?

anyway rocky you might wanna try this..
not sure if its too big for your fishes..
2 bucks for the whole red bag..

I just priced frozen smelt ,8-9"long at a local super market today, these are sold as food for people at $1.89 a lb. I don't eat fish that small but they were cheaper than bait.
 
to update: just fed my fishes with the fish i bought in the morning..
as usual the cats and my gar happily accepted.. but to my surprise my silver aro tried going for it, but it was too big for him..
