have one about 9" in a 46 bow with a rino pleco & a pim cat. Did kill a large bushynose. I do not feed live food so not sure If that may help? Want to put in a community setting with other large fish in a 155 bow but will have to see. I will put him last so that he will be going into the other fishes tank instead of them going into his?

Success is a matter of opinion. These people talking of their 4" jars are a far cry from success. Why not be more specific and find people who have owned their jars for more then a couple of months. :screwy:

thats interesting. every asian i have worked out in a comm. i guess jardinis dont like me very much.

Most people just never tried cuz they don't want to risk it. Once they see another aro snapping they immediately take out the aggressive fish. Let them be together for 2-3 months or more and you'll find out the result. My jar is been together with my other fish for almost 3 years and his still not bothering anyone.

mines is 7~8" it works out withanything like my 2 other arowanas

used to have a 12-13" jar in with a texas and oscar both about 6", 2 sevs bot 4", a big pleco and a GT... didnt mind any of them... did instanly chomp a 4" TSN that i introduced and some 3" iradescant sharks but left the guys who were in the tank before him alone...

Had a 18" Jardini housed with fish smaller than 3" at one point and fish as big as other arowanas, in the range of 12"-17".

Big jar plus small stingray equals my stingray being eaten...

Are you talking to me? No I sold the Jardini then got the rays....but he has been with my smaller pair of retics in the past and they didn't get harm in any way.....

LOL nono not you, I meant mine. I ran out of tank space a few years ago so i stuck my new retic with my jar. The day after, when i went to feed them, they were fighting over a peice of shrimp and my jar ATE my retic. Only thing left was half the tail and the spine. Other than that, the whole stingray was eaten.
