thats interesting. every asian i have worked out in a comm. i guess jardinis dont like me very much.

my jar is living peacefully with 3 silver and a green aros and ray (bichir was moved out with asians).

my comm tank of asian aros was (is) a disaster.

u should realli define the length of the fish in this poll...i bet most of the ppl who said yes have small aro, under 13" or so...cuz their temper man...they grow w/their length lol
also, depends on the tank mates. if it's not the dominant fish in the tank, i think that mite work

You should also ask at what size they killed their first if they're not compatible.

So far, at 12", mine is tolerant of most tankmates.

yes but in a very large tank
i concur.
i don't know about anyone else, but i am growing my tiny jar with two rotkeils in a 75g for the mean time. imagine if it had the ample room- say 220+. with that much room, the chances for cohabitation are more likely.
The success rate for a community with a jardini, is not only influenced by it's innate aggressive nature, but also the direct proportionate size of it's housing.

so maybe there's more math to figure out, in terms of success rate x size of tank, but if one is seriously trying to house jardinis with other fish, better get your wallets out.

now to get that 220...

I just picked up a Jar and his tankmates had to have an emrgency evac. so my vote is no...

he's about 12"-13" and is in a 150g wide tank all by himself now.
