Grats! Im still trying to get mine to take pellets but they are too smart lol. They smash krill at the surface but when I throw in a pellet they run up on it full bore then throw the brakes on and just stare at it lol. Now that you got those bad boys in shrimp though, they will fatten up nicely

mine did the same thing when i threw in a pellet, but then i threw the shrimp in and they slammed it

nice now you can feed them a more wide rang of different cut foods.

my guys do the same exact thing.. i have had some orinos in the past smash pellets the first try and i had one of my wild peru monos take pellets, first try but no cichla i have now will take pellets so i hide them in their food
