You cruel bastard. Even a 2 foot aro should eat every day.

They don't have the same stoumach capacity to gorge them themselves and last for ages like a large snakehead or large catfish. They eat small stuff more often.

lesson learned? - dont overfeed a small aro ,like me! Im so pissed at myself! my new 5-6" silver aro I recently got -like two weeks ago i manged to kill already.I had him in a tank w/ 4 always hungry redhead severums and never thought hed get a chance to go way overboard on the chopped market shrimp.I think Im gonna give up on aros , as much as I love them this is the fourth Ive lost (not a good sign).Think ill stick w/ cichlids have much better luck

never give up learn form your mistake's save up get another one . I feed my fish once daily in the morning and starve them one day a week usually sunday . the reason for this is so there is one hole day of no poopy being filtered!.. p.s'' your a marine soilder you improvise you adapt you overcome''.....
