I wonder what they do with them once they are here.

They probably keep them in a 29 gallon uncycled tank for 6 months as evidence and then wonder whats wrong with them. You know the gov. :)

woow, 20 years is a long time in 1 small 4 wall room..no worth it for a fish.. but i dont have to worry about that here in canada :) but i love my silver so i dont see why he would go threw all of that.. he should have just moved to canada and got as many as he wanted legally...

I find it quit interesting that the tanks they came in had false bottoms, where the Aro's where hidden. I mean thats like how people import drugs...sneaky

His first mistake was shipping them with his regular fish shipments. I'm sure customs agents are well aware of Aros and keep a sharp lookout for live fish shipments from overseas. If he smuggled one or two at a time with something else like furniture or soft drinks it would draw less scrutiny.

Not that I know anything about smuggling....... :uhoh:

that is a bit of excessive sentencing and bail but dang if he was in Charlotte he should have hit me up so i could get his fish and tanks so i can take care of them for the next 20 years:grinno:

thats crazy

I guess I'm the only one who is glad that justice is served. He knew what he was risking when he attempted it and got what he had coming. These laws are there for a reason.
