I was at the LFS today trading in some fish. The owner tried to sell me a Silver. I said I'd love to have one, but it will outgrow my 125. She said if you don't feed feeders, the arowana will not outgrow a 125:ROFL:.

what are the diamentions? is it a 6 foot long...also how big is the fish? Anyhow, you could house it for a few years in a 125 as long as its a 6 foot long and also depends on what you feed your aro and you would definately need a GREAT filtration system....WD or a fluval 405 mixed with over the back filtration or power heads.....or a fluval fx5.....like you said though not for life....but definately for a few years....realalisticly.;)

understandable...consdering all the other fish you have already in there. of course it will grow too big for you 125....no matter what it eats...my grows fast on the market shrimp and hikari food stick I feed mine.

sure it wont outgrow a 125,itll be stunted and die an early death but it wont outgrow the tank.

Yeah, her feeder logic was funny to me because I was thinking that an Aro on a variety of pellets and frozen would probably grow faster than one on only feeders.

My silver hit 30" at 18 months on a pellet based diet and is currently 32" at 22 months.
