Yeah even after. This time I filled the whole tank to put full pressure and I'm getting a tiny drip...builder said to dry it up and run silicone... so going to try that next...

Thats a headache. They can't just send you a new tank or have a professional company come out and repair it on their dime?
 
You aren't kidding. He's kind of a one man show so he'd have to make a new tank, none just laying around. I'm not even sure what kind of silicone to use as most don't adhere to plastic...

did you make sure to use a syringe or did you just apply out of the tube/can?
dont use silicone... go to a acrylic/plastic store and get a triangular rod and
bond it to the inside corner where the seam split/leaks and apply a little more
weldon/cement on the outside and try to get it in between the seams much as
possible. let it cure for 48-72 hours for best results. it's most likely the case
that it didnt bond/cure well enough given the thickness of the acrylic.

Thanks, not a siringe but a real thin plastic applicator. The problem is towards the top and bottom it was still very tight, and I believe not enough weldon was pulled in those areas. I also ran a bead of weldon 16 in the inside edge. I should have just used the rod, but instead I applied silicone made especially for acrylic. I just want to do exactly what the builder suggests in the case that I'm not able to fix it, that he'll either replace or repair it himself. Thanks though from what I've read the rod it the best method, especially in an unseen corner.
 
I'll tell you what, the silicone may just do the trick. It says specifically designed for acrylic panels and it is stuck crazy good. Can't peel it off with my fingers and I really tried. It only has a 12hr cure so I'm going to do anot her test fill....fingers crossed
 
Even if this holds I'm going to weld a 1/4" piece of acrylic over the outside seam. Again, it will be ugly, but since it's against a wall you'll never see it anyways...
 
using the syringe with the tip works well as your able to get the weldon/cement in the tight
places better but what ever works lol. btw what adhesive did you use to bond the seams
back? hope it was a 2 part epoxy adhesive for a tank of that size. the builder should have
repaired the tank himself from the get go imo but at least he's doing something haha.
