I think i over feed, once a day
1 lb of carnivore pellets from yourfishstuff lasted me about 3months but also feed shrimp and tilapia once or twice a week. tons of poop in the canister filters that's why I'm going for a sump in the bigger tank

another quick update.
went to a couple not so local fish stores looking for plants and found me a new poly.

labeled as a Palmas. 8 inches for $45.
hes perfect size to fit in with my other guys. I will up load more pics when I get a better camera .
so far he's sitting in my quarantine tank looking awesome .

i figures it would be mislabeled , seemed to be the common theme I found when I was first researching poly's a year ago. lol
and I knew the poly's brain trust here would steer me to his real identity.

I can uplload better pics later if that will help identify him with 100% certainty .

either way since I am still a noobie to poly's , it's only been a year, anything I should watch out for with a lap?.

I have a lap male as well. Definitely one of the more confident of my bichir. He will lay out in the open without a care. My ornates still hide all the time. Female is still a big beast... big scared beast that can’t stand the sight of me.
