You Tell Me What To Add ! ! !

Out of the fish you suggested, the peacock bass would prbably work best. Gars don't Tend to work well with aros, gars are attracted to silver fish and prone to attacking them and gators are partiularily aggressive, wait till the bigger tank for a Ray because the do grow quite fast, and let your fish get a much bigger head start with a red tail (as long as you are getting the pond you mentioned), even so a red tail still may eat some of your fish.

Well thanks for the input, I like the constructive criticism. Not many posts going up in this thread except for the guy telling me about my salinity and how my fish are all fresh and blah blah blah
Bowfin.

lolol dam i failed, didnt fully read your post. but i think pbass is a real good idea. how about a puffer? hahaha jk how about a diff type of pleco or flagtail

In this set up I would add 100x Giant Danio's. It would all be eatin but that would look great imho.

awesome, finally some input! I really appreciate all the advice/input/ideas! I'm kinda that guy that will strive to have an overstocked aquarium that works well and all fish are eating well and happy. I keep up on water changes to a T. I change about 45% of my water a week and have a rated 500 gallons of filtration on a 135 gallon tank, and when I go to the 360 gallon I will have 2 FX5's (rated at 400g a piece) a Fluval 405 (rated at 100g) and a Lifeguard Rainbow 900 Fluidized Bed Filter (rated at 900g) so my filtration will be adequate. As far as size of the tank for the comfort of my fish, they all seem to hang out in a different area of the tank so they don't act stressed or cramped for space... Please keep commenting and giving me your opinions

Now for the voice of reason...

I used to like to overstock AND overfilter my large tanks...I thought it was cool to have wall to wall fish. Like 6 Aros 6 large Cats RTC, TSN TSNxRTC Juruenses, then An assortment of large SA chiclids GT FH Managuensis, DATS, and a Common Pleco, a Flagtail a pair of bichirs senagalus and an Endli with a GG thrown in for good measure. all in a 72" x 30" x 24" 225g acrylic with a 90g Wet/Dry with 1000 SCRUBBIES and 3600GPH Reeflo DART pump 1.5"-2.0" Plumbing...

My Parameters were spot on and at a drop of a hat I could prove the results on command...

But there was just one thing missing...
WATER!!
good ol' H2o
Hydro...
it just didn't have enough water to dilute the organics that the fish produced...Daily w/c's is what it comes down to to keep everybody stable and happy. AND all that deChlorinator going down the drain, not to mention the 20lbs in fresh talapia and prawns, Massiviore and food sticks, super worms crickets...

So when it did crash, it was like a titanium turd in church...BAM!! to the floor never to be recovered from...

So do the sensible thing and so a killer speises tank...do it like it is a slice right out of the wild...Your fish will love you for it, and the inevitable crash will hurt alot less...~Ben O, the voice of reason...;)

:iagree:

Probably not what you want to hear, but the best suggestion given in this thread.

Yes, very good point made! My food bill is insane, and the amount of Prime i am using is quite extensive, but at my current stocking level I am doing well with once a week 40-50% water changes. And as I stated earlier I will be going to a 360g tank (96x30x30) so the amount of water, even with two more fish, will be more than 2 1/2 times more water volume as I currently have... Not to mention the huge capacity of water that an FX5 holds (not a sump but damn that's a lot of H2O for a canister filter!) And the FSB Filter will also hold a fair amount of water. Who knows, I might even do a large sump setup just to add more total water volume? I think my current 135g tank would make an excellent sump no? Thats a little over 500g of water volume. Would that be a little more reasonable? Because Ive seen more heavily stocked setups with less volume an bigger fish.... 400 gal at Kings? Anyone?
