Just for a visual:

One of the three grabbed one end, and swam away (the behavior talked of in your thread)... Well, about ten seconds later one of my other ones comes up and grabs the other end, and locks on tight. Then, they just starting spinning around faster than I could have ever imagined they were capable of... It was insane. Probably 4-5 rolls per second, at least, and i'm not even exaggerating.

Wow, that sounds awesome! I'm gonna have to go pick up some nightcrawlers!

you have one young stressed lap.do it and yourself a favor kill the lights and leave it alone for a few days to settle in.Also your gong to need a bigger tank sometime
down the road laps gorw to 18-20+'' in captivity.Also also thier temperment can change as they mature just a heads up-Anne

What are you plans for this fish stump? if you have thought that far ahead yet... kind of unexpected to get a fish that maxes out around 20 inches instead of one around 12 lol

My plans... :

If it grows quickly, and looks like it's getting cramped, I will do what I can to find at least a 4x1.5...

In the future, I would like a 120 (48"x24"), but a 125 (72"x18") may be more practical, because of the very old house I live in, I need to distribute weight over as many floor joists as possible...


That's as far as i've gotten. lol







I called the LFS today, and spoke to one of the owners, explaining everything, telling her how I wasn't dissappointed, and am actually quite happy with it, and letting her know what I got was NOT a Delhezi. I probably wouldn't have said anything, but her husband ordered one to sell at the store, and I felt they needed to know what it ACTUALLY was to avoid some possible disasters in the future.
