I know not all of us our done fishing for the year, but with snow on the way (or already here) and water temps in the 30's, i think it's safe to say that the year is quickly coming to a close.

I wanted to make a thread so that everyone could post their favorite catches and pictures of their fishing season 2010. So lets see those pictures!

I set out this year to catch not only catch more fish but bigger ones too! My friends and family thought a goal of 1000 fish was absurd. At times i didnt think i was going to hit it but i did and then some.

my end total for the year was 1063 fish, all caught via lures or bait. (I didnt count fish i was catching to use as bait or caught in the castnet). Yellow Perch-54
White Perch - 94
Yellow Bass - 1
Largemouth/Spotted - 28
Smallmouth - 16
Sunfish - 355
Crappie - 29
Bowfin - 7
Carp - 1
Bighead Carp - 2
Freshwater Drum - 2
American Eel - 5
Goldfish - 1
Rockfish - 7
Blue Catfish - 4
Flathead Catfish - 22
Bullhead Catfish - 31
Channel Catfish - 402
Walleye - 2

These are just a few of the many memories i've made this year. Good times with good friends and family fishing. It doesn't get any better. Next year i'd really like to get back out on the potomac river again after those bluecatfish. They've been catching 60lbers left and right out there the past few weeks. Id love to get my girlfriend out more too, she went a few times this year but gets bored if we arent catching and we all know how fishing goes sometimes. Thanks guys for a great year. See you in the Spring!

I fished for crappie and stripers most of the year and the best crappie are in my avatar and below, didnt get any stripers that broke the 15lb mark so no pics of them. A pretty slow year for me, the hot temps during the summer that drove the stripers deep and scattered were hard to find and finicky. Im not done for the year, ill still be out there following the stripers up into the creeks. I plan on fishing all through winter.

Dreamsofpeace, what do you typically use as your catfish bait, mainly channels? Catch many flatheads on cut bait up there?

Highlights of 2K10 include my first northern then two days later my boy getting a even bigger one! Far as LMB I got two five pounders and plenty of four pounders, which for NJ is pretty big!!

It's so weird seeing people catch fish that some fish keepers actually keep in aquariums. :screwy:

And yes, I know... most fish we keep are caught in the wild somewhere. haha.
